My name is Aidan Stutzmann, and I am a life scout with Troop 121. Throughout my years in Scouting, I have achieved Brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow, held various positions positions of leadership throughout my scouting career, such as: my troop SPL, Den Chief, and worked extremely hard to complete 30 merit badges(and counting). I currently serve as the Vice Lodge Chief of Administration, with Buckskin Lodge 412, served as a Chapter Chief, Vice Chapter Chief, and am on the Lodge & Chapter Ceremonial Teams. I am at the point in my scouting career where I am beginning work on my Eagle project. One of the many requirements to become an Eagle Scout is to complete a service project with the help of the community. For my Eagle project I chose to help Bethany Congressional Church, where we hold our troop meetings, with installing a hardwood laminate floor. A floor is expensive, as well as a lot of labor is needed, therefore a large sum of funding is required.
My project will include the moving of furniture to allow for a floating floor to be installed. I will be required, with the help of my fellow volunteers, to remove the current shoe molding, install the floating floor, install new shoe molding, and take care of any garbage we create. The floor is cracked, broken, and very old. It has created an unsafe environment to the point that the beneficiary is worried an injury may occur. My project, while not only recreating a sense of safety and security, will bring a new light into the room and allow it to be used more. Your funds will not only help me complete the project but will help the hundreds of people who use the room, to be safe. Clubs, activities, extracurriculars, and many more will not have to worry about stepping on plywood, or tripping, and can focus on what they are doing. With your help, I can complete my Eagle project, and complete my life long goal of becoming an Eagle Scout.
