Support a Father and Son Facing Eviction

As many people know, I'm a single parent raising my now young adult son who has special health needs. in October 2023, Social Security through an error, stopped the disability benefits to his mother (lives separately) and my son who was her payee. They went after her for $24,000 and my son for $12,000. I fought to not only get these benefits back (+$2500 monthly) but to help get back retroactively the lost funds through Rep Ballint's office. She worked through legal aid's office. Meanwhile, I notifed the bank who holds the mortgage, that we needed to delay payments, and they were very sympathetic. I took the money that would have gone to the mortgage and used to help cover the lost Social Security funds that were being used for his personal care, out of pocket medical expenses for him. I was given assurances by his mother that if the funds were both turned on and returned to her accounts, she would cover the accumulating rears in the house mortgage. 15 months later, Social Security admitted through human error, they doubled one month's wages that she reported. This was December 2024, both parties benefits were turned on by January 2025 and they both received the back held funds, $27,500 roughly for her, but more importantly, $10,670 for my son.
At that time, the mortgage was about $10,500 in rears. But instead of getting it caught up, his mother spent down the funds (my son has just filed as the receipt, a claim of social security fraud against her). It was winter time for my business and small amount were able to be paid toward the mortgage, but by May, the bank's attorney filed for foreclosure. Meanwhile I was trying to reason with the mother , which at this time didn't have the funds, she miss-used. I did get the bank's attorney to work out a deal with the bank, that I would continue large payments that I started, and have a new contract to get out of foreclosure and handle all money for our mortgage. But the mother and her attorney needed to sign a long, they refused. She filed for seizure and eviction, to sell the house and split the result after legal fees. As people know, my son is very connected to the house for his support system, and I make a living through the homestead here. Also he has an elderly support dog. I didn't have the funds for an attorney, and was busy doing 6 markets a week, while bringing him to his medical appointments & procedures (87 between July 1, 2024-July 1, 2025. We showed up in court August 19, and my documents and information were not entered because I didn't have the time to focus on them. The focus according to the court was from a paragraph of the divorce agreement January 2019, that I would be evicted if the mortgage was in foreclosure, something at times, the mother said not to worry about it , she would never evict the father of her child, when I was helping get her benefits back. I have contacted an attorney, but a retainer of $2500 is needed. Also I have filed a review of the 3 judge panels decision and submitting documents to the court and notified the other parties. I have moved the animals except our bees and some freezers to other locations, but the business comes with the house, literally, The hotel voucher program, if there is an opening, will not take his older support dog. The court was told he could live with the mother, who has filed civll and criminal claims against. This will likely go to the Vermont Supreme Court. Our time staying in the house is not guaranteed. And still trying to find locations to store items, postal boxes. After paying in the mortgage the last few months , the funds are limited in my bank. Whatever people can give will help assure that my son and his dog will have a warm place to sleep if we are evicted, but also help with legal costs. Meanwhile I'm managing his many illnesses and appointments, and his mother has stopped any financial help for him. Please pass on this site to others. There is much detail, but it shares how we got to where we are today, thank you!
