First and foremost I would like to thank all who donated And texted him with words of encouragement. Eric had the first of two full shoulder replacement surgeries last Thursday. The surgery went great and he is doing good. Unfortunately healing from these surgery takes quite a bit of time. As soon as he can he will be starting physical therapy to regain his strength. Once he accomplishes this he Can have the second surgery. Unfortunately This will all take time and he will still be Off work for another year and a half. Hi, my name is Denise Foote. I am creating this go fund me for my son and his family. Eric has had issues with his shoulders for many years. He finally could no longer handle the pain so he decided to seek the help of an orthopedic doctor. After some testing it was determined that he was born with a defect in both shoulders. At 40 years old he was now facing shoulder surgery on both shoulders. A year and a half ago he had the surgery on one shoulder. The dr determined that only the ball needed replacing and he could reform the socket. Considering Eric was so young he decided to do just that. To minimize the length of time it takes to heal completely, which takes about a year, Eric decided as soon as he could use that shoulder he had the other one done. It has now been 1 1/2 years he has been out of work and is in as much pain or more since before seeking help. His doctor has looked at several things and has determined he now reauires full shoulder replacement. What this means for Eric and his family is he will now be out of work for a minimum of another 1 1/2 years. Although Alicia works, her salary doesn't come close to covering all of their bills and expenses. They have relied heavily on their families to help make ends meet each month. He was denied social security disability. He was also denied food stamps. This fund could help them tremendously with money for food, utilities and their mortgage. If you know this family, you know they are always willing to help people if they can. Its now the time where they need the help. Please consider donating to help them thru this very difficult time and please pray that after going through these two surgeries he finally becomes pain free and can get back to supporting his family.
