C-19 Helping Service Industry Folks in Philly

Every member of our team at Simply 2020 Creative has personally worked in the service industry.  Many of our clients are based in service industries and know the importance of our small local economy. We have been fortunate to have these experiences shape us professionally and continue to work within the industry currently via our clients.  Now, as the industry suffers due to uncertainty and shutdowns associated with the spread of COVID-19, we want to give back and we are hoping you will help us. We’re raising funds to support local Philadelphia members of the service industry community who are currently out of work. Your donation will help them make rent, pay bills, and maintain their health and wellbeing.  ANY AMOUNT will help.

Our goal is to raise $5,000. Helping us lead this charge and matching our initial $250 donation is Eric Havkin, owner of the luxury watch retailer AUTHENTICK East Coast Time, and Josh DeMarco, owner, educator and stylist at DAPR Grooming Parlour. Please be as generous as your circumstances allow. Any current or former server, bartender, cook, housekeeper, beauty tech, or stylist knows what it feels like to have to rely on the generosity of others to make your living.   Now is the time for us to support this critical industry.  We would like to give a 'community gratuity' of $250 for each person selected.  We hope this amount can help them get through this gap in wages.

To apply for the $250 community gratuity, please email [email redacted] and share with us where you work and some sort of proof of employment.  We’ll start disbursing the gratuities as early as next week and keep going as donations allow until we’re all back to work!  We will do our best to help as many Philadelphians as we can.
