Anthony's Eagle Scout Project

Donation protected
Hello!

My name is Anthony Pautsch, and I am a Life Scout with Boy Scout Troop 969 in Chicago. I am in the process of finishing my Eagle Scout rank. As part of my requirements, I need to plan, lead and complete a project that has importance to me and helps the community.

For my Eagle Scout project, I have chosen to build a 100-foot split rail fence at the North Park Village Nature Center. This new fence will help to protect native plants to Illinois by keeping people from walking on and destroying these plants. After doing some research, I have chosen to purchase the wooden fence through Rustic Fencing Company. My project consists of leading my team of volunteers in removing the old split rail fence, marking out the spots for the new rails, digging the foundation holes with an earth auger (which will be rented from Home Depot), assembling the fence and putting the fence into the foundation holes. Once the fence is erected, the holes will then be filled with concrete and level out each post. Lastly, the area will be filled with dirt to clean up the look.

To complete this project, my goal is to raise $1,500 for the cost of materials and rental costs. Without your generosity, this accomplishment will not be possible. All proceeds will be donated back to the North Park Village Nature Center to help further projects.

Thank you for your consideration and generosity.
