Hi, my name is Andrea. I am a mother of two beautiful girls, and I am reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your help. After 12 years in a difficult and emotionally painful marriage, I have finally taken the steps to start over and give my daughters the peace they deserve. But I cannot do this alone.

Why I Am Asking for Help

I am currently going through a divorce and a custody case. I have been the one raising my daughters full time, providing for them, and protecting them from a situation that no child should have to witness. I am trying to make sure they grow up in a home filled with love, stability, and emotional safety.

In North Carolina, it is very hard to find free legal help. Most family lawyers charge a starting fee of around $6,000, and that does not include court time, emails, calls, or paperwork. Every hour adds more cost, and as a single mom working as a nanny, I simply cannot afford it on my own.

A Little About My Story

I moved to the United States looking for a better life and hoping to save my marriage. But instead of healing, the situation became even harder. I was not allowed to make decisions for myself, celebrate holidays, go to church freely, or even keep friendships. I was constantly told that I had nothing without him and that I would never succeed on my own.

There were times I truly believed that.

I kept going for my daughters. With the help of a few kind people, I found a place to live. I started working as a nanny and slowly began rebuilding our lives. I have been honest and open about what we went through, and I have tried everything to settle things peacefully with their father, but he refuses to cooperate.
