Brock2Kenya Volunteering 2025
Donation protected
Hi there, I’m Arun, an A-level student studying in Brockenhurst College in the UK. I’m asking for your support to fund a once-in-a-lifetime experience to help orphaned street children in the slums of Kenya, because I believe in doing the most I can to help others.
What is Brock2Kenya?
Brock2Kenya is an annual expedition hosted by my college that takes a group of students out to Kenya, where we will help young, orphaned children, from the streets of the slums to be educated and fed each day.
Why am I doing this?
The poverty and desperation many children face in Kenya is an important issue that fills me with resolve to help. These young children will benefit from the resources, fun, and education we will offer. Furthermore, the trip will enhance my life skills, teach me how millions of people survive in deprived conditions, and enable me to see the beautiful wildlife and culture of Eastern Africa.
Why am I asking for your help?
Some of the money donated will cover my travel and subsistence, with the rest going directly to helping the various projects we will be working with (Melon Mission School, Silver Bells, and Little King's Nursery), which will ultimately get more children off the streets, supply them with resources such as shoes and toothbrushes (mere commodities for us, but much more valuable for people in poverty), as well as helping orphaned children receive some education, which will set them on a better course in life. Anything you can spare for this project will be gratefully received.
I will be doing many different fundraising activities and various jobs in my local area to raise money, and I will be keeping this page updated with what I'm doing, and of course sharing photos from the expedition.
