I am a family friend of Ellie McQuaig and have known her and her brothers for most of their lives through church, school, family camping trips, and our neighborhood swim club.

Ellie (27), Augie (24), and David (22) McQuaig recently lost their mom, Ginnie Hardison , and have a challenging road ahead as they grow through young adulthood without a parent by their side. In order to gain ownership of their mother’s assets, including the house so they can sell it, they will have to navigate probate court, which will likely take several months. In the meantime, monthly utilities, hospital bills, and funeral costs are adding up.

These three promising young adults are just getting started in their careers after graduating college. They are on the road to successful, financially independent lives and feel that selling their family home will get them beyond this financial roadblock and on the right path. But until they are able to complete the sale, they will be struggling to manage these expenses.
