Sponsor a Tiny Home in Keith's memory
Donation protected
As we celebrate Keith's birthday this year, we wanted to also celebrate all of the hard work and activism he did for his community and especially the unhoused community here in Los Angeles.
As we know, Keith helped raise significant funds for NOHO Home Alliance before he passed and now we would love to raise money in Keith's name for another great homeless outreach group, Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission. They have two locations in North Hollywood where they have started Tiny Home Villages. These villages help get our fellow unhoused neighbors off the street, into transitional housing and job training. Each location has onsite meals, showers, case management, housing navigation, mental health, job training, and placement help. They even accept animals!
We would love to raise enough money to sponsor a home in Keith's memory. It costs $3,000 to sponsor one Tiny Home and there is a plaque on each home and ours would say In Honor of Keith Schwalenberg. The city paid for and built these locations but these sponsorships help with the upkeep and operational costs.
If we raise more than $3,000 and receive enough to sponsor a second Tiny Home, we will do that. If we raise more than $3,000 but not enough to sponsor a second home, those leftover funds will be donated to NOHO Home Alliance in Keith's memory.
Below is more information about the Tiny Homes and locations as well as a video giving a tour of one of the locations.
Thank you all so much for your donations and participation! It's a great way to keep Keith's efforts going.
