Buy Lunch for Hospital Workers

Robin and Brian Jessogne are my sister and brother-in-law. They own two Jersey Mike’s sandwich shop franchises in Indianapolis that they have poured their hearts, souls, and life savings into. Robin is also the President of LOLIN of Indiana, a rescue group for Labrador retrievers. So much of her time and their money goes into that, as well.  They have always been extremely generous with their time, money, and friendship. 

Like many other small businesses, their stores are in dire financial trouble due to the shutdown over COVID-19. They cannot make their next payroll, rent, and loan payments. They are trying to figure out what to do next.

The photo I posted is of them happily-and gratefully-delivering a large paid order to Riley Children’s hospital last month. They were so thankful to Riley for placing the order because it helped them pay the payroll to keep their employees working.  They know their employees are the heart of their shops. They know how important they are on the team.

Robin and Brian applied for the PPP loan, but unfortunately, their broker was so backed up with applications, they could not get the documents in before the funding ran dry, and we do not know when there will be another opportunity.

What I’d like to do is ask you to assist me in feeding the staff at Riley Childrens Hospital, and possibly other hospitals in the Indy area. I want to feed them Jersey Mike’s sandwiches, ordered from my sister and brother-in-law’s stores. If you can spare $5 or maybe $50, just think about the ripple effect that will have. The layers of kindness. The potential to pay it forward. So many people affected. And, two people our family loves dearly will be able to keep their business afloat to keep that ripple effect going. 

We appreciate your support and will keep you updated on our progress so we can be as transparent as possible. 

P.S. They currently have no idea about this, so I kinda would love to surprise them. If they find out, that’s okay, too.
