That's right. Buy a Veteran a burger. Our efforts start on Memorial Day weekend when a picnic is hosted at the Lyons VA Valley Brook campus.

Your donation will feed our Veterans as we will honor their service to our country. Your donation will go first towards a Memorial Day BBQ/Picnic. They will celebrate this somber holiday with joy while keeping in their hearts and minds the true meaning of this day. So let's feed a lot of Vets! As donations come in, we will continue to feed these vets throughout the year. We have now scheduled a 4th of July weekend picnic as well.

The formerly homeless veterans live at Valley Brook Village, which is the first Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH), a housing community for homeless veterans, on the Lyons Campus of the Department of Veterans Affairs New Jersey Health Care System in Basking Ridge.

The Friends of Valley Brook help improve the lives of residents of the community. The group's Facebook page says, “Our volunteers assist in a variety of ways including transportation, tax prep, tutoring and day-to-day help. We are not a charity, we are an action network. Please bring us your talents.”
