Almost a million children in the UK don't own a book.

If we can fund a Children's Community Shed we can sell second hand children's clothes and toys but we can give a book to every child that would like one.

We have received this amazing and wonderful donation from a very kind gentleman.

This is a handcrafted, totally unique and one of a kind dolls house.

It's minutely detailed and it's a step back in time to the 1940's and it's the middle of World War 2 judging by the gas masks and ration books.

Hello, our lovely loyal customers at South Street know all about our charity shop, food bank and voucher scheme!

The charity shop was homeless for a while but has now slipped into the greengrocers and has become a lovely little boutique for up market ladies and men's clothing.

We are committed to helping solve food poverty in our community and thankfully the boutique is really taking off and we'll be able to start providing £5 vouchers for the greengrocers again shortly.

The problem is that we don't have any room for children's stuff, in particular children's books which were donated in abundance and given away to every child who wanted a book.

We've got a big back yard at the cafe with nothing in it and so the obvious thing seems to be to put the largest shed/summer house we can fit into the space and fill it with toys and books.

It'll be a children's charity shop shed!

We at South Street are donating £300 to get the ball rolling because we're pretty committed to getting books to children who need them and raising enough money to keep the vouchers for the greengrocers going in the process.
