We are launching a Buy a Brick campaign in partnership with Jewsons Abingdon to raise £30,000 for the construction of the new Female changing rooms at Abingdon Rugby Football Club.

Abingdon Rugby Football Club works hard each and every year to provide a positive impact as a community nonprofit charity and improve the lives of not just the town of Abingdon but the wider community and beyond the county lines playing matches each season.

Currently, we are working hard to raise £30,000, in conjunction with Jewsons Abingdon, for the provision of female changing rooms. This is truly a community drive.

Abingdon Rugby Football Club has started this project to improve the facilities specifically for our women and junior female team in what will be, as you will be undoubtedly aware, a high-profile year for Rugby with the Women's World Cup this summer being held in this country. there is also a strong possibility of the England team lifting the Cup for the first time. Do you want to take this great opportunity with us?

In 2022 the club started its own women's section having been successful in the attracting a number of players to the traditional 'out of season' touch rugby sessions (June-August) that we hold each summer, which brings players and non-players together for a fun fitness session. We are extremely proud in that the women's team has attracted a regular following and with the dedicated volunteer coaches the team is now playing regular fixtures. The aim is to develop this further with the younger age groups of the club so that there is a feeder system into the women's game at all age groups.

We have partnered with Jewson Abingdon on a match funded project for the 10000 bricks needed for this build. It is at this point here comes the ask! If you are able to buy just one brick that would be amazing at a donation of just £3.00. If you would like to donate more we are also creating a fundraising supporter board in the club house.
