Button Mash - Mashing with Purpose

We're Button Mash NI, an organisation based Northern Ireland focused on running events for the Fighting Game Community in NI and Ireland as a whole. We are located in Belfast, and over the last 6 years we have ran a large number of events, both offline in person and online, for the Irish scene.

We have been fortunate to have great support from the FGC over the years, and now is an occasion where we ask for a helping hand. Currently we are able to stay afloat with the money that comes in for our offline events, which pays for the venue and prize money etc, but funds for future games, dlc and equipment are in short supply.

Costs for these things are only increasing, and in turn we need some assistance to ensure that we are set to continue the scene as we have over the next few years! This is why we have opened Button Mash: Mashing with Purpose, an online fundraiser for the second half of 2025, with the aim to raise money for us to continue supporting the Irish scene.

As part of this, we at Button Mash will be running several online tournaments for the Irish scene between now and the end of 2025! As opposed to our usual prize pools for top 3, donations that come in will work towards this goal. The second of these events will be a Guilty Gear Strive online tournament, shortly after the release of Lucy. There are also plans to run another bracket for Tekken 8 down the line! The dates for this is not known just yet, as we plan to run it shortly after their next dlc character releases.
