Flutter - Bringing a little brightness to kidney cancer patients is a registered charity ( no.1208259) based in Essex , providing care packs called Butterfly Bags and Comfort Cushions to kidney cancer patients following diagnosis.

They are delivered to hospitals throughout Essex , London, and at other NHS establishments in England, Scotland and Wales.

Flutter aims to bring a little brightness at a difficult time following diagnosis and treatment for kidney cancer patients, whilst raising awareness of this type of cancer.

There is limited support and awareness for kidney cancer and Flutter is trying to change that in some small way.

To help patients feel less alone following a diagnosis, we provide relevant information and signpost them to professional support during times of greatest need. This literature is included in all our Butterfly Bag care packs, kindly provided by Kidney Cancer UK and Action Kidney Cancer.

Your donations go directly to making and providing the items inside the Butterfly Bag care packs themselves. These packs are designed to offer comfort and practical support during hospital stays or treatment. Each handmade bag contains thoughtfully selected items, including travel-sized toiletries, hand cream, lip balm, peppermint teabags, anti-nausea remedies, tissues, eye masks, ear plugs, scented candles, comfortable bed socks, a crossword book, a notebook, and a pen.”

Comfort Cushions are useful and practical following the removal of a kidney (nephrectomy) and during subsequent treatments. These are bright and colourful and particularly helpful in the early days following recovery from major surgery.
