Butterflies in Spirit Take Flight for MMIWG2S

Hello community, we are the Butterflies in Spirit, our group was initiated due to human rights abuse and the genocide of our indigenous women, girls, and two-spirited folks.

As such we work towards the elimination of violence, discrimination, and abuse against MMIWG2S. We also strive to educate our communities and create relationships with all indigenous communities across Turtle Island.

We have recently been invited to a beautiful community in Mexico, they have been subjected to consistent repression, oppression, and marginalization in defense of mother earth and the community’s autonomy.

We are raising funds to travel to Mexico to do some work around missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and to perform.

We would also like to raise funds to support the community. Among the resources the community needs are a water system, medicines, beading supplies and anything that would help stimulate the economy.
