Butte County Search and Rescue - Giving Tuesday
The Butte County Search and Rescue Team is an all-volunteer, non-profit, non-tax-supported auxiliary team of the Butte County Sheriff's Office. Our primary purpose is to provide skilled search and technical rescue services to the residents and visitors of Butte County, California.
On, and around, this Giving Tuesday we are raising funds to help update our equipment for winter and flood operations. As one of the largest and busiest Search and Rescue teams in California our equipment and outfitting costs can be extremely high - especially in the winter months. That is why we are asking the community to help us help you!
$50 buys one case of hand warmers
$250 buys a Bell snowmobile helmet
$400 buys an Arc'teryx waterproof rain jacket
$800 buys a Black Diamond mountaineering tent
$1,000 buys a Mustang Drysuit
