Hey everyone! My name is Fiama Serrano. I live in a co-op where there is an amazing indoor/outdoor cat who's been fed by the whole community. Recently, he's been having a really hard time eating to the point he was crying and lost some weight due to this in the past couple of months.

I took him to the emergency vet (VEC) where we did blood work and a test for FIV because he presented with severe dental disease. Ends up, he has FIV and needs a full mouth extraction. Our sweet boy Butch was sent home with a neighbour who was able to keep him indoors and administer his antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds for ten days.

Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is one of the most common and consequential infectious diseases of cats around the world. In infected cats, FIV attacks the immune system, leaving the cat vulnerable to many other infections. when a cat has a low immune system. Due to his severe dental disease, he needs a full mouth extraction to live a happy and comfortable life.

That ER bill was over 1000, and the dentistry department at VEC quoted 3-5 k for the full mouth extraction. After this procedure is done, he will live the rest of his life indoors, with regular check ups and to be happy and pain free.

We really need help to cover these bills, I don't have much. If you are able to donate, that would mean the world.

I'm trying to raise the funds for the estimate minimum which is 3,000 and hopefully 1,000 to cover the ER bill.
