BUS PASS BARRY
This Easter, while most of us are enjoying the long weekend… Barry is taking on a challenge like no other.
Barry is an amputee.
Barry is a pensioner.
And Barry is absolutely unstoppable.
Armed with nothing but his trusty bus pass, determination, and a serious sense of adventure, Barry is travelling from John o’ Groats to Land’s End using only buses and trains.
No shortcuts.
No luxury travel.
No support convoy.
Just buses, trains, timetables, long waits, and hundreds of miles across Britain.
Barry sets off on 30th March and won’t return until 4th April, spending days navigating connections, travelling across the country, and pushing himself every mile of the way.
But this journey is about far more than the distance.
Barry is raising funds for Wythenshawe Community Rugby Club, helping support grassroots sport, community spirit, and opportunities for local people.
And he’s also proving something powerful:
Being wheelchair-bound doesn’t mean being limited.
This challenge is about showing what people with disabilities can achieve when determination, courage and belief lead the way.
What Barry is attempting is nothing short of incredible — a huge endurance challenge that could even become a world record attempt.
Every mile Barry travels shows what’s possible.
Every connection he makes proves that barriers can be broken.
Now Barry needs your support.
Donate if you can.
Share his story.
Get behind an incredible man on an extraordinary mission.
Because Barry isn’t just travelling the length of Britain…
He’s proving that limits are only the ones we place on ourselves.
