Chances are, the first time James Fitz (age 38) popped up on your #FYP — if you’ve been lucky enough — he was either serenading the streets in jeans and a tee, or dressed as a ballerina, a nurse, a Jedi (you name it)… or rocking that signature cowboy hat, worn with love, pride, and a cheeky grin that’s become his trademark.

But when James shows up, it’s never halfway. Everything he does… is for his girls. Always. ❤️

Whether it was his voice, his lyrics, or just the light he brought to your scroll or your soul — James reaches people. With over 2,000 songs in his head and a love for every genre, he’s built a TikTok community full of laughter, love, and healing.

He knows names. He reads every comment. He makes people feel seen.

That’s just who he is.

James joined TikTok in February 2023, hoping to take his years of busking from the streets to the screens. And he did — going live 5–6 hours a day, in every kind of weather, singing his heart out to create a space full of connection, kindness, and joy.

But in January 2024, James received a diagnosis that changed everything: a rare, aggressive form of MND (Motor Neurone Disease / ALS).

It’s a cruel, progressive illness that has already taken the use of his legs.

Now, James sings from his bed, parked inside his motor home. Still showing up. Still performing. Still pouring out love through music.

But now, chronic pain and fatigue are making it harder for him to keep going. TikTok remains his only source of income (alongside a small disability benefit he chooses to receive). He does not qualify for or accept further government support.

James is the father of two little girls, aged just 4 and 6, and he’s always supported them — financially and emotionally — as his absolute everything.

This fundraiser isn’t just about supporting a musician.

It’s about supporting a father, a fighter, and a friend.

James has always shown up for US — with music, with messages, with joy and strength, even when he was hurting, he still made the time to be a special friend too xx

Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.

For the man who gave us music when we needed it most.

And for his girls, who remain his BIGGEST reason why.
