Bushmead Defib Fundraiser

Raising funds for a 24/7 accessible defibrillator (AED) to be installed in Bushmead. Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) can affect anyone, anytime, and having an easily accessible AED can make the difference between life and death.

Currently, our community lacks a defibrillator that is available around the clock, leaving us vulnerable during emergencies when every second counts. Studies show that early defibrillation within the first few minutes of cardiac arrest can increase survival rates by as much as 70%. A 24/7 accessible AED in a central location would not only save lives but also foster a greater sense of safety and preparedness among all residents.

To make this vision a reality, we are seeking to raise £2000 to cover the cost of purchasing, installing, and maintaining the defibrillator. Also organise free workshops to show how to use a Defibrillator. This is where your generous support can make a profound impact. UPDATE: We wanted to provide an update on our fundraising efforts. Due to more reasonable pricing than initially anticipated, we have been able to adjust our goal accordingly. While this is great news, we are still actively raising funds to cover the electrical installation and ongoing upkeep of the defibrillator once it is in place.
