Recently our family story of becoming permanent guardians to our newest son, Dede, became known nationwide. Our goal was/is that it inspires people to do the right thing - to put compassion first - even when it comes at a great cost. An unexpected outcome has been that we have been repeatedly asked how others can donate to support us. At first, we hesitated to even accept these offers. But after seeing that fake accounts have been opened to mislead people (ugh) AND that the hopeful supporters have been ever-so-persistent, our new friend, David, has encouraged us to give people a safe place to offer their support. Besides the obvious of continuing to support Dede and the rest of our family, we hope to offer a scholarship that will encourage struggling young people that just need someone to give them a chance at success. You might feel led to give your support here, but we hope most of all that you find ways to support those around you that are struggling. Keep your eyes, ears, and most of all your heart open. You just might change a life forever.
