Burks College Fund

Our sweet friend passed away peacefully Saturday morning on October 16th, holding hands with her dear husband. He has taken such good care of her, I am in awe of his strength and dedication. It was beautiful to witness their love all the way to the end, the way she looked into his eyes and instantly found comfort was so endearing. He and her children were her everything. She fought 5 long hard years at this cancer battle, she was a warrior, she did all the research, all the clinical trials, all the chemo treatment, she tried everything and did everything so that she could continue to be a mother to those beautiful children and take care of her family. She walked her journey in FAITH and she remained THANKFUL for all that Jesus has done for her and her family. She stayed close to HIM and recognized that God did perform great miracles in her life and we are so thankful for that. She was such a dedicated mother, she raised Nate, Emily and Maddie to be such strong, smart and beautiful individuals. She is so proud of them. She was an amazing NICU nurse, touched so many families and cared for so many babies, she loved on each and every one of them. When I think of Kim, SWEET is the first word that comes to mind, CARING, is the second. She was truly kind, her heart was BIG and she loved greatly. I promised her that we would watch over those kids, I also promised her that we would come together and help Scott with all that we could. He has been working tirelessly caring for her and I know it's been a struggle to concentrate on work. We want to help him with any funeral costs and create a college fund as Nate, Emily and soon Maddie will all be in college, 3 college tuitions on 1 income will be a heavy burden and she worried about that. I have faith that God will provide for the Burks family and that we will do our part to help in any areas that we can. Please reach out to me directly if you wish.
