URGENT COMMUNITY ACTION – PLEASE READ

In August 2024 Bromsgrove District Council refused an application for a proposed Gypsy/Traveller site on land at the Junction of Alcester Road and Blackwell Road, Burcot. An appeal has now been put forward to overturn the Council's decision.

If this appeal is successful, the development WILL go ahead — we must not let this happen. Allowing this development would set a dangerous precedent - one that threatens the heart of our community. If we choose not to act, more plots will be sold and the field will be lost to inappropriate and irreversible development. Now is the time for everyone in village to stand together and protect the future of our village.

⚠️ This is our LAST chance to stop it.

Once this appeal is decided, there will be no second opportunity to object. We must act now.

Why We’re Raising £25,600

We urgently need to raise £25,600 to fund legal and planning professionals who can defend the council’s original decision. Without this support, we will not be able to mount an effective defence.

To support the action we need to take we have appointed the following professionals with associated fees which are all inclusive of VAT:

Barrister (No5 Barristers) - £16,800

Transport Consultant (I-Transport) - £5,760

Landscape Visual Consultant (Rappor Landscape) - £2,900

Miscellaneous costs - £140
