Every Sunday, from 5–7:30pm, our South Sudanese community gathers to reconnect — through dance, food, language, and culture. It’s a safe, powerful space for kids, youth, and adults to remember where we come from and build a stronger future together.
Our South Sudanese community is hurting.
With the rise in premature deaths, youth caught in street life, and the ongoing ripple effects of displacement and trauma, our people are struggling to stay connected to who we are and where we come from. In a time of so much loss and disconnection, we have created something powerful.
We are fundraising to sustain and grow this initiative. Your support will help us provide:
- Communal meals every fortnight — a time for everyone to eat together and share stories
- Dancing equipment — drums, cultural attire, and sound systems
- Travel costs — to support the children when they perform at cultural events across the state
- Resources to expand — including workshops, youth mentorship, and community healing spaces
This gathering has already become a lifeline for many, and your support will help sustain it for future generations.
