Building up the Birtwell’s

Hi everyone. My name is Rachel Birtwell. As a graduating senior, life is coming fast and one thing that came faster than anything else is my mom’s sickness. She has been in the hospital for 39 days and counting with a failing liver. Money, for us, is scarce and the money we do have is being devoted to gas and parking for my dad to go up to Massachusetts General Hospital every day to visit her. On top of her liver, she has recently come down with pneumonia resulting in her being sedated. My dad hasn’t worked for the last year because my mom always needs someone by her side. My mom is on the list to get a new liver, but my family is struggling.  We don’t have the necessary money to get us through this difficult time, and any contribution, is greatly appreciated. Offline donations are also acceptable and encouraged.

Given the situation and not knowing if my mom will come home anytime soon, I would like to raise the goal due to the long road ahead with recovery and to cover future expenses for my dad’s travel and being out of work for the foreseeable future.
