Building Up After Our Walls Came Crashing Down

We are Warrior ONE: A community centered yoga studio in the heart of Orlando. We are a bustling hub for high fives, hugs, big smiles and inspiring, impactful classes. We have been generating community for 10 years in the Audubon Park Garden District (APGD) of Orlando, or original home and where we have inhabited four different spaces in our evolution and growth!

On the day of LOVE, Valentine's Day, our walls came crashing down.

No, but literally. Around 11:30pm on February 14 a large SUV Truck came barreling into the parking lot and smashed through our studio, demoloshing both our lobby and our larger room. The car proceeded to back out and leave the scene, leaving us with a studio in shambles. Our front doors and windows, interior doors, the walls, floor, the concrete in front, furniture, our sound system... so much destroyed in a one minute clip of time.

We will not let this stop us. We have continued to show up and to shine out through many tough things, including hurricanes, power outages, tragedies like the Pulse nightclub shooting in 2016, Covid.... for the people who come to our space.

Our number one mission has ALWAYS BEEN to BE THE LIGHTHOUSE.

To shine even when... ESPECIALLY when... things feel really dark and hard and scary. After all, our logo is a bright sun with a Warrior Woman in the middle of it.

WE WILL MAKE IT THROUGH THIS.... but not without your support.

Insurance will cover some of the structural damage, but we are looking at 6 months to a year of operating at less than 30% capacity. We want to find another space to operate out of, but it's pricey and challenging, and of course that isn't covered by insurance. Insurance won't cover the loss of revenue, loss of business hours and classes, the salaries that will be lost for our team members, the overhead costs that won't change just because we have a lower capacity....

If you're wondering if we will make it through... the answer is a resounding, undoubted, absolute YES. But we need your help.
