The Story of Station ThirtyThree: Building a Co-Creative Resource Hub
Hello Friends, Neighbors, and Change-Makers,
Every thriving community needs a heartbeat—a place where people don’t just exist side-by-side, but actively lift each other up. For a long time, traditional community centers have followed the same predictable blueprint: isolated senior lounges, separate youth programs, and a lot of confusing red tape just to find basic community resources.
We knew our community deserved something different. Something collaborative, dynamic, and full of life.
That is why we founded Station ThirtyThree.
Who We Are & What We Do
Station ThirtyThree is a fully licensed and insured community organization dedicated to building a one-of-a-kind, co-creative resource hub right here in the DMV area. We see ourselves as a "multi-universe" space where different generations, talents, and resources collide to create something beautiful.
Through our temporary pop-up events, digital literacy programs, and community outreach, we’ve already started making a tangible impact. We help neighbors navigate critical resources with complete privacy, host hands-on workshops, and give people a space where their voices actually shape the environment.
But to truly scale our mission and serve the community every single day, we need a permanent home.
Why Station ThirtyThree is Different From the Ordinary
We aren’t building a sterile office building or a standard community center. A permanent home for Station ThirtyThree will feature:
- Intergenerational "Buddy" Programs: A space where youth, young adults, and seniors share the same room—exchanging digital literacy training, life mentorship, and fighting social isolation together.
- Creative & Creative Tech Incubators: A built-in home for multimedia workshops and music production, giving local youth and creative dreamers a safe, localized venue to express themselves.
- Centralized, Stress-Free Support: A privacy-focused network where families and individuals can conquer personal barriers and immediately find exactly what resources they need without getting lost in bureaucratic red tape.
What We Are Funding
Securing, zoning, and building out a physical space is an immense financial undertaking. Every dollar raised through this campaign goes directly toward transitioning us from a mobile pop-up model into a permanent fixture of our community. Your donations will fund:
- Securing a Dedicated Venue: Deposits, leasing costs, and architectural planning for an accessible facility in the DMV.
- Equipment & Infrastructure: Outfitting our creative music workspaces, digital literacy stations, and senior-friendly community hubs.
- Operational Startup Capital:Ensuring our initial safety, insurance, and resource procurement networks are fully funded to serve people from day one.
How You Can Help
Whether you can give $5, $50, or $500, every bit brings us one step closer to opening our doors. If you cannot donate financially right now, you can still be a foundational part of this journey by
sharing this link with 3 friends or family members and telling them why you believe in our mission.
Let’s stop waiting for a better community space and start building one together.
Thank you for helping us bring Station ThirtyThree home!
