Friends and family,

As they say, “when one door closes, another door opens.” When the door to our fertility shut last year, we opened ourselves to grief, acceptance, support, and change in our future vision. Additionally, we opened ourselves to a posture of surrender, hope, and contentment. We stayed present and showed up for our lives without knowing what the future would hold. As the quote goes on to say, “but we often look so regretfully upon the closed door that we don’t see the one that has opened for us.” And from the start, we knew we did not want that to be our story.

So we choose to open our hands, hearts, lives, and home… We are ‘trusting the story’ for our lives as it leads us from infertility into adoption. We have come to believe this may be the path that was meant for us all along. We are excited to take this step and would love to have your support as we embark on this adventure of becoming parents!

Now, we’d like to 'let you in' (the door lol). In terms of details, we are planning on adopting a newborn through a national agency. We are actively in pursuit of this and in order to be fully prepared for the chance to bring our baby home, we have to complete an extensive process and be financially ready for the total cost. In transparency, the estimate that we’ve been given from the agency is $80-85k which does not include our pre & post-placement home studies, travel expenses, baby preparations, etc… putting us much closer to $90-95k. We do not want that to be the barrier that comes between us and our future baby and thus, we are humbly asking for help in making this dream come true.

We also want you to know that we truly have so much joy, peace, and faith as we pursue the path before us. It’s beautiful to know that so much is already (and will continue to be) healed, redeemed, and perfected as we follow this and step into an opening door. We feel that this is our time! We greatly appreciate any support of encouragement, prayers, and care as we do. Thank you for loving us and our future Figaro already!
