Building The Bahamas Baseball Park
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Doug. My wife and I have a place in Exuma, Bahamas and spend several months a year on the island. Years ago, as tourists, we would drive past the only baseball field in Exuma on multiple occasions, always thinking about how we could help rebuild the park. As we were on the island this year, I was invited every Saturday morning to help coach kids under the age of 16. While helping, I realized that most kids who wanted to participate didn't even have a glove or were using a glove opposite their throwing hand. I knew we had to do something to change that, so we donated over 40 baseball gloves to the island. But I don't want to stop there. The local Bahamians have spent countless hours trying to get the field in better condition to play little league and adult softball games. I started this fund to build better fences, dugouts, bleachers and batting cages, and better baseball and softball equipment.
The potential of talent I have seen is like no other, but these children do not have the exposure nor the opportunity we have in the US. My goal is to give them a chance we have had and continue to have in the communities in the US.
I ask that you help support this cause and give these kids a chance to be the best person they can be.
I appreciate your consideration!!
