Hi my name is Alexander Adams, I used to be homeless, and it was one of the hardest experiences of my life. There was never a sense of safety—only constant worry. I never knew where my next meal would come from or where I would sleep at night. Every day was about survival. That kind of fear stays with you.
Now, when I walk around my city and see people sleeping on sidewalks, in doorways, or pushing carts with everything they own, it feels like I’m right back in that place. I see myself in them. I remember what it felt like to lie awake wondering if I’d be okay, if I’d eat tomorrow, or if the weather would be too much to handle. No one should have to live like that.
Homelessness isn’t just about not having a house—it’s about losing comfort, dignity, and hope. In the summer, the heat can be unbearable. In the winter, the cold can be deadly, especially when temperatures drop below freezing. Imagine trying to sleep on concrete when it’s freezing outside, or searching through trash just to find food or money. Imagine wanting nothing more than a warm meal, a soft bed, and a place to feel human again.
That’s why I want to help.
My goal is to raise money to help build and support shelters in my community—safe places where people can escape extreme heat or freezing cold, rest their bodies, eat a warm meal, and begin to feel hope again. A shelter can be the difference between life and death. It can be the first step toward stability, healing, and getting back on their feet.
I know how much even a small act of kindness can mean when you’re at your lowest. Your donation—no matter the amount—can help provide warmth, safety, food, and dignity to someone who desperately needs it. Together, we can remind people that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
Please consider donating to support this cause. Help me give back to the community and help others find the safety and hope that everyone deserves.
