Building Safe Homes for Baltimore Girls in Crisis

Donation protected
My name is Kenita J. Malloy, and I am the founder of Go Where The Love Is, Inc., a trauma-informed residential program I created from the deepest parts of my own journey. I am building a safe, loving home for girls ages 13–21 in Baltimore who are experiencing crisis, homelessness, trauma, or instability.

This home is not just a building.
It is my story, my scars, my healing, and my purpose made real.

I left home at 15 years old, not because I wanted independence, but because I was seeking safety and peace I could not find. At 16, I became a mother and had to learn adulthood without guidance. Along the way, I survived moments no young girl should ever face. But I also met people who showed me kindness, gave me hope, and made me feel safe, even if only for a moment. Those moments shaped me. They carried me. They saved me.

In 2012, my stepdaughter was murdered in Baltimore, and that loss shattered my entire world. Her life and her death ignited a purpose in me that I could not ignore. I made a promise that her name, her memory, and her light would live through the work I do for other young girls who need protection, love, and a place to call home.

For more than 25 years, I have served Baltimore’s youth through the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services. I have seen firsthand what trauma does to a child and what love can undo. I’ve watched young people transform when someone believes in them, feeds them, shelters them, and tells them they matter.

Now, I am building the very home I needed when I was 15.
The home that so many Baltimore girls are praying for right now.

Go Where The Love Is, Inc. will provide:

Safe, stable housing
Warm meals and daily essentials
Trauma-informed emotional support
Life-skills development and mentorship
A nurturing environment where every girl feels seen, valued, and loved

Many of the girls we will serve have never had their own room, their own bed, or a safe place to sleep. Your support helps us create beautifully furnished bedrooms, comforting common spaces, and the kind of healing environment every girl deserves.

Your donation — no matter the size — helps us:

Prepare and furnish rooms.

Provide clothing and hygiene kits.

Offer meals and basic necessities.

Build a sanctuary “Where Love Meets Safety”

And continue the work “Built by a girl who needed it, for girls who need it now.”

If you know my heart, you know this is my life’s purpose.
If you know my story, you see why this home is necessary.
And if you believe in healing, in second chances, and in the power of love, then I ask you to join me.

Thank you for supporting this mission.
Thank you for helping me build a place where girls can finally feel safe, supported, and loved.

With love and gratitude,
Kenita J. Malloy
