Building Our American Dream — The Right Way

Donation protected
Three years ago, we packed our lives into suitcases, loaded one moving truck, and moved from Canada to the United States on a lawful business investment visa. We came with hope, an entrepreneurial spirit, and deep respect for the opportunities this country represents.

What we did not expect was how quickly this place would begin to feel like home.

We found more than opportunity — we found community. We purchased a home. We built friendships. We became active members of a local church where we regularly attend and serve. Our children have grown here. They have dreamed here. They have planned their futures here, both educational and beyond school.

America is no longer just where we live — it is where we belong.
Now, we are asking for your help to remain here permanently — the right way.

Why This Is Urgent
We are preparing to apply for permanent residency through the legal immigration process. We believe deeply in honoring the rule of law and doing things with integrity, even when it is difficult.

But the cost for our family to complete this process is approximately $30,000, covering government filing fees, medical exams, and required legal documentation.

We have tried to manage this on our own. We live responsibly. We pay our taxes. We contribute to our community. We make enough to cover our monthly mortgage, schooling, and expenses — but not enough to quickly raise the significant funds required.

Because of our temporary visa status:
  • Our children cannot obtain Social Security numbers
  • They cannot work to help support their own college education
  • They are limited in building the financial independence they are eager to pursue

Much of what we earn goes toward their education and our daughter’s intensive dance training, as well as maintaining our home and responsibilities.

And now, time is pressing.
One of our sons will “age out” next summer under immigration law. If we do not begin this process soon, we risk losing the opportunity to apply together as a family.

We are not looking for shortcuts. We are not looking to bypass the system. We are choosing the lawful, transparent path — even though it is costly and complex.

What We Hope to Give Back
We believe in contributing before taking.
As a family, we are committed to strengthening the nation that has given us so much:
  • Through education and mentorship
  • Through engineering and skilled trades
  • Through the arts and culture
  • Through service in our church and community

We are raising children who value faith, discipline, gratitude, hard work, and respect for this country’s freedoms.

We believe in American values — personal responsibility, opportunity earned through effort, strong families, community service, and freedom under law.

Why Your Support Matters
Your contribution will help us:
  • Begin our immigration process before critical deadlines
  • Keep our family together
  • Continue serving in our church and community
  • Build long-term roots as lawful, contributing residents

If you feel led to give, share, or simply encourage us, we are sincerely grateful.

This journey is about more than paperwork. It is about belonging. It is about keeping our family together. It is about choosing integrity when easier paths exist.

Thank you for believing that doing things the right way still matters.

With gratitude and hope,
The Bucco Family
