I'm starting this fundraiser because I want to help build the Black community in ways that create real opportunity and support for Black Americans in need. As a Black American woman, this is personal to me. I want more for myself, my family, and my community, because when our community rises, I rise, and my family rises too through more jobs and more opportunity.

The people this fundraiser is meant to help include Black shop owners, qualified shopkeepers, Black Americans experiencing homelessness, and poor Black Americans. My goal is to help open grocery stores and shops, and to use funds to buy and renovate homes and apartments for Black people who need housing, especially children and elderly people. Funds would also go toward fees, supplies, services, and gifts for homeless and poor Black Americans.

This is an ongoing need because building businesses, creating jobs, and providing housing and direct support cannot happen all at once. Steady support can help move this vision forward over time, from opening stores and shops to helping cover the practical needs of people who are struggling right now.

I feel hopeful because I believe our community can come together and invest in itself. I also know that turning support into real change is a big responsibility, and that feels serious to me. Still, I believe this effort can help create something bigger than any one person.
