Building Lasting Picnic Tables for Urban Impact

Donation protected
The Urban Impact Training Center on the North Side is a hub for missions on the North Side. They host many short term mission trips which help the community in many ways. They also educate kids in their after school programs and train new leaders for other organizations around the country.

I am building two picnic tables at the Urban Impact Training Center on the North Side. I will be building them out of pressure treated wood using a unique design that I have picked out and agreed on with my beneficiary. I will obtain the materials through this fundraiser and a discount at Home Depot. I will obtain support through my troop and other friends.

Currently, at the Urban Impact Training Center on the North Side, they have 2 old picnic tables that are in disrepair, with paint flaking everywhere and potential for splinters. The two new picnic tables that I will build will be helpful to the beneficiary, as this will provide a better place for resting or eating. There is a kitchen next to where I will build the tables, which serves around 200 kids. These tables will allow them to have a nice place to eat when it is nice outside. It will also provide a nice resting and meeting place for the missionaries that work at the Urban Impact Training Center. Because these tables will be built out of pressure treated wood, they will not need to be painted, and will hopefully last much longer.

If I am lucky enough to exceed my goal, the additional funds will go to Urban Impact. Further information about them can be found here: https://uifpgh.org/
