Help us build hope at Lexi’s Place

Lexi’s Place was founded by Tya Adams, Brandy Davis, and the women of Letcher County, Kentucky—survivors who are determined to help others thrive. Our mission is to empower women who have faced sex trafficking, domestic abuse, systemic injustice, and other forms of trauma. Many of us have experienced the failures of the court system, social services, and the prison-for-profit industry. We are coming together to create a self-sustaining, independent community where women can heal, rebuild, and reclaim their lives.
At Lexi’s Place, each woman is given a half-acre of land, building materials, and the support of dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers help with everything from construction and gardening to connecting women with legal resources and helping them fight for their children. We are also building a barrier relief fund, providing a community vehicle, and setting up a computer to ensure everyone has access to the tools they need. Our hope is to create a space where women can find safety, support, and the opportunity to build a future that no one can take away.
A typical day at Lexi’s Place is filled with gardening, building, babysitting, and education. We offer therapy and content creator support, helping women share their stories and build sustainable incomes. Our vision is for a community that is truly centered on its members—where everyone has a voice, and everyone is supported in finding their independence. By supporting Lexi’s Place, you are helping us build hope and homes, one woman at a time.
Dedicated in loving memory of Alexis Bentley.
