Building Homes in Soren's Memory

Hi, My Name is Willem Smith
My friend Soren passed away unexpectedly in April of 2020.
In his memory, every June a group of his friends and family travel to a small town in Costa Rica to build homes for people in need.
Here's how it works:
- Our friend Maximo, from Mercy Homes Ministries in Nosara, Costa Rica seeks out people in his community who are truly in need and deserving of a home. (This includes single mothers, disabled individuals, and folks that have otherwise been struggling to survive.)
- Our group fundraises money in the US to cover building materials for the homes.
- Our group of 25 travels to Costa Rica and works with Maximo and his team to construct 2 homes in one week.
So! We need to raise some money for these homes! And that is where you come in. Maximo has done and incredible job getting the price of each house down to only about $9,000 - but that means between the 25 of us, we need to raise $18,000 Last time I raised over $1100! Thank you! But this year, I know we can beat that, so Let's try to raise $2,000 so other people won't have to raise as much, or so we end up with rollover for next year's group.
This is a very special trip to me, Soren's family and friends, and the people who we are able gift these homes to. Thanks so much for all of the generosity, past, present, and future.
