Building Homes, Building Hope in Guatemala

This year is the year of giving. What better way to give back than to be able to give the gift, the gift of a home. Myself and Syotos have been working hard this year to be able to be there for different families and villages. Anywhere form giving back our time to help them build a home, to donating clothing to both the youth and the elderly. To even ensuring that the younger generation has the materials and supplies to continue with furthering their education.This Year we are fundraising to be able to build a home for a family that is suffering from extreme poverty in Guatemala.We are not only looking to be able to build a home for a family but also to be able to give back to an entire village by providing necessary materials for better living conditions. We want to make sure that we are able to not only help one family but an entire village. In order for us to do that, we need a village of our own, a village of people from parts near and far in the world, ready to help those in need!
Many families in different villages suffer from a lack of clothing, homes made out of bamboo, sheet metal, any material that they can get their hands on to be able to build a home. Most of these families struggle from the lack of the simplest materials that some of us take for granted. We have been very fortunate enough to be able to donate clothing, school supplies and other materials. We also had the privilege to partner with a local organization in Guatemala to be able to build some homes. Now, we want to be able to do that yet again, this time to ensure that the family, the village, and the people, do not lose hope and continue to work for a better future. All we need in life sometimes is a helping hand to get us out of whatever dark pit we might be in.
We are looking to raise three thousand five hundred dollars, this money will be going to buying all the needed materials, hiring the appropriate help to ensure that the house is being built to its most stable condition, school supplies for all the children in the village, blankets, pillows and other basic household necessities. We want to not only be able to change the lives of one family but all the others around by being able to give them something that cannot be donated. We want to give these families a better year than before.
