Building futures: Faafafine & Faatama Uni Scholarship fund

As the reigning Miss SFA (Samoa Fa'afafine Association), I am both humbled and honoured to represent my community. With this title comes not only visibility but a responsibility—a platform to advocate, uplift, and empower the next generation of Fa’afafine and Fa’atama leaders.

Today, I am proud to announce a meaningful initiative close to my heart: a University Scholarship Fund dedicated to supporting Fa’afafine and Fa’atama students who are pursuing higher education at the National University of Samoa (NUS).

Education is not just a pathway to opportunity—it is the foundation of leadership, advocacy, and lasting change. As someone who deeply values the power of knowledge, I believe that every Fa’afafine and Fa’atama student deserves the chance to walk confidently into lecture halls, into boardrooms, into positions of influence and representation—with pride, qualification, and purpose.

This fundraiser aims to provide full tuition scholarships (two semesters) for 2–3 deserving students, covering not only tuition but also registration and book fees for the academic year. By removing these financial barriers, we can help turn aspirations into achievements—and dreams into degrees.
