Building for Conservation: Supporting Endangered Wildlife

Donation protected
Recently I’ve been putting myself through my paces training for a 15K Tough Mudder, raising funds as I prepare to head to the Philippines this summer to volunteer in the design and construction of a pig conservation centre on the island of Mindoro, a project responding to urgent needs of species conservation, sustainable habitat creation and community involvement.

In collaboration with Talarak foundation, an NGO committed to projecting regional endemic species, Foundation University, Philippines and the Filippino Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) I will be volunteering as part of Caukin Studios to design and construct breeding facilities which will fight against the decline of the species’ population.

To help in this effort I have set a fund-raising target of £2000, all money will go towards funding accommodation, travel and food as while out in the Philippines. Any additional funds will go towards materials and supplies used to construct these important structures, vital in maintaining the island of Mindoro’s native wildlife.

This is a really exciting project making a real impact, testing sustainable design and contributing to important conservation work.

If you want to support the amazing cause any donations would be truly appreciated and will have a direct impact on making this important project the best it can be!
