Extended community…

As many of you who have been following along know, we have been building a forever home for a beloved elder who lost his home to fire and is undergoing Chemotherapy. Buzz has now completed 10 weeks of chemotherapy and is ready to come home this week. We will be housing him in our home this week and hopefully next week we will have the housewarming for him to bring him to his cabin!

Thanks to all of you we made our first goal of $15k to cover our initial material costs for this cabin. Whoohoo!!! You have been a godsend! We are still in need of a few more items to get across the finish line and so we have increased the funding goal:

Heres the list of what we still need:

▪️2x6x12 inch beams, ▪️ 520 linear feet of redwood decking (we have $200 covered so far at San Lorenzo lumber if anyone wants to help inch that forward we are short $1400). Thankfully our neighbors Steve Markey have offered to build the deck out of the kindness of their hearts. More and more incredible angels are making this dream possible.

We also still need materials for front porch, ADU ramps and handlebars, water/plumbing (which might be covered by Wades plumbing ) and a few basic pieces of furniture.

Any additional funds we would love to be able to pay our builders a gratitude stipend for donating so much time to this build. We are also looking at caretaking support for the months ahead. This is the house that Love built… we could not have done it without all of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
