This is "Nora's Helping Hands," a non-profit organization that aims to provide adaptive and assistive devices to people with disabilities with a focus on children.

And here's the kicker: we want to provide these devices at no cost to the recipient.

Disabilities that affect our children are as unique and individualized as the children themselves. While there is a plethora of devices available, they're often expensive, difficult to obtain, and not always a perfect fit for the user.

We aim to combat this with the help of 3D printing technology. The ever-innovative 3D printing space has afforded us the ability to manufacture assistive devices at a relatively low cost, and even tailor these devices to the exact specifications required by their users.

I've decided to combine my years of 3D printing experience with a strong desire to enhance the lives of children with disabilities in our community any way I can.

As the parent of a child with a rare genetic disorder, I know all too well the struggle of getting the right supplies and devices needed to help my daughter navigate everyday life. And I know we've largely been pretty fortunate in that regard. As such, I feel duty-bound to help those that haven't been as fortunate as we have.

We want to use these funds to purchase a couple of state-of-the-art printers, as well as raw materials needed to construct these devices. This organization is named for my aforementioned daughter, Nora. The name "Nora" has origins in words meaning "compassion," "honor," and "dignity." In that spirit, help us spread a little bit of dignity to the disabled children of our community.
