Hi everyone,
My name is Eva O’Sullivan, and I’m a 16-year-old Transition Year student in Sion Hill College. In March 2026, I am honoured to be travelling to Cape Town, South Africa, with the Niall Mellon Education and Community Development Trust, where together with other Irish students and volunteers, I’ll help build homes for families and work with children to support literacy and learning projects.
This isn’t a holiday — it’s an opportunity for me to learn through action, to gain a deeper understanding of how people live and support one another in very different circumstances, and to contribute in a meaningful, respectful way. I’ll be fundraising to cover the cost of travel that make this project possible. Through this experience, I hope to grow in empathy, teamwork, and resilience — and to bring those lessons back home.
Every donation, no matter the amount, is very much appreciated. I completely understand that life is expensive, and even the smallest contribution makes a real difference and helps make this experience possible.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting me on this journey. Your kindness helps build not only homes, but also hope, understanding, and connection between communities.
With gratitude,
Eva O’Sullivan
