I believe real connection begins not with speeches but with doing things together. Over the years I have seen Repair the World bring Jews and neighbors of all backgrounds into shared service, and those moments have turned into real relationships that matter. When people roll up their sleeves together, barriers fall away and empathy grows.
Repair the World mobilizes communities to take action toward a just world, inspiring a lifelong commitment to service. Their programs create meaningful opportunities for neighbors to work side by side on food access, education, environmental projects, and more. I have watched volunteers become friends, collaborators, and allies because they worked on a common purpose.
That kind of bridge building deserves support. By backing Repair the World, we help create more opportunities for people to meet, to serve, and to forge lasting relationships that strengthen our communities. Every act of service they inspire ripples outward, making our neighborhoods more connected and just.
Last Weekend, I helped organize a program with Peace Islands Institute where Jewish and Muslim participants sat together over texts from both traditions and then spent the afternoon upcycling t-shirts for people in need. What struck me wasn't the conversation around the table, as good as it was. It was watching people laugh and problem-solve together over fabric and scissors. By the end, nobody was a representative of their community. They were just people who had made something together.
Please join me in supporting Repair the World. Your donation will help bring people together, create hands-on service opportunities, and grow the kind of relationships that repair the world. Give what you can and be part of building something lasting.
