Building Bow Well &Essentials for Community Healing

My name is Kenya Union, and I am the founder of Bow Well & Essentials, a wellness space dedicated to gut healing, colon hydrotherapy, detox, and natural self-care.

This mission is deeply personal.

In 2017, I lost my son and grandson. In 2018, I lost my godson. In 2024, my son from another mother also left this Earth. These losses nearly broke me—but they also opened my eyes to the need for deeper healing in our communities, healing that goes beyond the surface.

On May 16, 2025, St. Louis was struck by a horrific tornado. I wasn’t a direct victim, but I lived in the heart of the damage, on Adelaide and West Florissant years ago.

Seeing O’Fallon Park with all its trees uprooted was heartbreaking—but that wasn’t all. I saw people in total devastation, houses dismantled, families who had homes now standing homeless. The air was heavy with loss and uncertainty.

Yet, in that same space of destruction, I witnessed something powerful—neighbors helping neighbors, strangers coming together, and communities holding each other up.

That moment reminded me: healing is not just personal—it’s collective.

I am stepping forward to create Bow Well & Essentials, located at 5100 Saint Louis Avenue, a safe, sacred space where people can detox, reset, and reconnect with their health naturally. Here, we will offer colon hydrotherapy, natural soaps, herbal products, sauna therapy, ionic foot detox, herbal tea bar and holistic guidance.

But I need your help to make it real.

Colon hydrotherapy equipment is expensive, and setting it up in my own location requires significant investment. Grants and donations will help me purchase the device, prepare the space, and begin offering affordable services to the community—especially those who are often considered “underprivileged” but deserve the same access to wellness.

This is not just a business—it’s a community wellness movement born from loss, resilience, and the belief that when we heal our guts, we heal our lives.
