My grandad was a man known for his intelligence, wisdom, and remarkable skills. He had an incredible mind- sharp, thoughtful, and resourceful- and he spent his life quietly supporting others with patience, humility, and faith. He believed deeply in doing good for the sake of Allah, without seeking recognition.
He passed away after a long and painful battle with cancer that spread to 97% of his body. Despite the immense hardship he endured, he remained dignified and strong until the end. His loss has left a deep emptiness in our hearts, but also a strong desire to honour him in a way that reflects the values he lived by.
In Islam, providing water is one of the greatest forms of Sadaqah Jariyah- a continuous charity whose reward continues even after death. Through Human Appeal, we are raising funds to build a water well in Pakistan, where many families still struggle daily to access clean and safe water.
This well will be a source of life, dignity, and mercy. With every drop of water drawn, every family supported, and every prayer made, we pray that the reward reaches my grandad and all those who contribute, insha’Allah.
All funds raised will be donated directly to Human Appeal to build a water well in Pakistan in my grandad’s name. The total cost of constructing one well is £850, which covers the digging, installation, and provision of long-term access to clean and safe water for families in need. Once completed, this well will provide a sustainable source of water and ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah, insha’Allah, benefiting the community for years to come.
Any donation, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is also a form of charity.
May Allah accept this as Sadaqah Jariyah, grant my grandad Jannah, and reward you all abundantly. Ameen.
