In loving memory of Dr. Maha Ahmad, a beloved professor, mentor, and source of endless kindness. We are coming together to honor her legacy in a way that continues to give.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (sadaqa jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” (Muslim)

Dr. Maha embodied kindness, generosity, and care in every interaction. As a form of sadaqa jariyah, we are raising funds to build a water well in her name, a source of clean water that will continue to benefit communities for years to come, inshAllah.

Access to clean water is life-changing. A single well can provide safe drinking water, improve health, and serve entire communities daily.

The type of well we are able to build will depend on the total amount raised. Through Abar Wells, a trusted company many of us have worked with before. We are aiming to raise money to build a well that serves 80 people daily.

Each contribution brings us closer to building a sustainable water source that will continue to benefit others, a lasting charity that reflects the impact Dr. Maha had on all of us.

May every drop of water that flows from this well be a source of reward for her, and may her legacy continue through this act of الخير.
