Asalamu walaikum warahmatulai wabarakatu to all our brothers and sisters in humanity.

We have a diverse, culturally rich and vibrant African communities in Australia that is growing rapidly. Majority of our members came from a refugee background. The African Australian communities have been working very hard to establish programs that support the easy resettlement and establishment of members of the community and their families. As a result, the African Australian Islamic Association was formed.

Back home in Africa, Mosques play a very important role in the community. It is not only a place of worship but also a place for the community to meet and discuss important matters, celebrate births and marriages, mourn and honour the dead, as well as an educational hub for children and adults.

Hence, the significance of this project for the African Australian community. We are asking for your donation to build God’s House and to support the African Australian community as well as future generations to establish our roots in a society that we now call home.
