Build Up Christmas Appeal

Support London’s young people shape where they live and become the leaders of tomorrow.

Build Up runs free construction projects across London for young people aged 6 - 23 to design and build public spaces. We help young people make decisions about their area and learn the skills to lead change in their communities.

This year we’re launching our first ever Christmas Appeal, to enable Build Up to support more young people than ever before.

With your help next year we can:

• Support 300 young people have a say in the regeneration of their area
• Build 2 large public spaces and 4 smaller community spaces
• Expand our work placement scheme and employ more local young people

In 2019 London started listening. We built our biggest project to date in Hackney; we spoke on the BBC about why it's important for young people to have a say; and Sadiq Kahn awarded us a Team London Award.

Can you help our young people shape their city in 2020?
 
£10 equips a young person with materials for one build session
£50 inducts and DBS checks one skilled volunteer
£900 trains 2 young people on our work placement programme
£1500 pays for materials for a new structure
£3000 enables our van to supply young people with tools and materials
