Build the Glendale Farmstand & Community Hub

Glendale Farm has been a cornerstone of the Chimacum Valley since 1857, stewarded by the Sexton family and a dedicated team of resident and seasonal farmers. As the largest remaining agricultural property in east Jefferson County, Glendale Farm is more than just a working farm—it’s a collaborative hub for emerging and established producers, conservation partners, and community members. Through flexible land-leasing and incubator-style opportunities, the farm supports local growers and makers, strengthening the region’s agricultural economy and cultivating the next generation of farmers. Partnerships with organizations like the Jefferson Land Trust and North Olympic Salmon Coalition further Glendale’s mission of ecological restoration and community engagement, with volunteers and students participating in habitat restoration and educational programs throughout the year.

Now, Glendale Farm is launching an ambitious project: building a multi-purpose farmstand and community hub. This new structure will serve as the public gateway to the farm, offering a welcoming space where visitors can purchase fresh produce, eggs, and farm goods, enjoy coffee, attend workshops, volunteer, and connect with the land. The farmstand will feature a retail area, coffee bar, cold storage, indoor and outdoor seating, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views. It will also serve as the check-in center for glamping and volunteer programs, and provide a safe, inclusive place for agricultural education and community gatherings.

Funds raised will go directly toward construction materials, interior finishes, cold storage, coffee bar setup, utilities, and permitting. By supporting this project, donors will help Glendale Farm advance its mission of sustainable production, habitat restoration, and farmer education. The goal is to begin building in May 2026 and welcome the community to the new farmstand in time for the Jefferson County Farm Tour that September. With your help, Glendale Farm can continue to be a resilient, welcoming resource for the entire region—connecting people, land, and local food for generations to come.
